Winter 2025 Flu & Covid Campaign

Each year, the NHS (or your local health authority) offers the free flu vaccine to those who are most at risk of becoming seriously ill from the flu virus.

For Winter 2025, the following groups will be invited to get the free flu vaccine:

📌 Eligibility Criteria

You will be invited if you are:

  • Aged 65 or over
  • Aged 6 months to under 18 years
  • Living in a care home or providing care for someone at risk
  • Pregnant
  • Living with certain long-term health conditions

Covid Winter 2025

The announced and authorised cohorts eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine in AW 2025/26 are: • Residents in a care home for older adults • All adults aged 75 years and over • Persons aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed.

📩 How You’ll Be Invited

If you’re eligible, you don’t need to do anything right now. You will be contacted by:

  • Your GP surgery
  • Or the NHS directly (by text, letter, phone, or app notification)

Invitations usually begin in early autumn, so keep an eye out from September 2025 onward.

Once invited, you’ll be able to:

  • Book online
  • Call your GP
